Why do some cyclists use the entire lane, use fog horns, and flashing lights?????????

I don't know, which is why I asked0 -

ok, i suspect if a driver came apon a car with hazzards on, the driver may assume there is a problem with the car infront, and try to overtake, instead of slowing them down, i might be wrong though, just a wild guessTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

I would say that is misuse of hazard warning lights unless on an unrestricted motorway or d/c and on this type of road you would not be stuck behind a cyclist!0 -
What's more baffling is coming across a stationary car with it's reversing lights engaged. I treated it as a hazard and hung back, allowed another car to the other way rather than sprinting past the obstructing car, before preceding with caution.
From what I say of the driver, I think he was navigating with his phone and had stopped to consult it, plus was probably thinking of reversing back to turn around. I assume the delay was waiting for the page/gps to update?
Certainly confusing for me and probably for the car following me to.0 -
Highway code rule 116Hazard warning lights. These may be used when your vehicle is stationary, to warn that it is temporarily obstructing traffic. Never use them as an excuse for dangerous or illegal parking. You MUST NOT use hazard warning lights while driving or being towed unless you are on a motorway or unrestricted dual carriageway and you need to warn drivers behind you of a hazard or obstruction ahead. Only use them for long enough to ensure that your warning has been observed.0

Drivers do seem to assume that cyclists are too poor to own a car and this is where they feel entitled to give them abuse...... But actually if a cyclist has all the right gear, then he/she probably has at least one car at home and their bike could easily be worth more than the car your driving.
There is an amusing video on Youtube where some driver is having a go at a guy on a recumbent bicycle (might be CyclingMikey), driver looks like a fool when the cyclist points out his bike is worth about £5000.
Once had a (rather plump)woman hurl abuse at me to get a decent job and buy a car.
No previous incident, she just decided to overtake me and then do a deliberate left turn across me.
Ironically she was turning her POS Astra (worth way less than the bike I was on) into a SH scheme where jobs are a particularly rare site0 -
I've seen some people do that before.
Driving a £500 car and telling someone on a £2k bike to save up so they can buy a car.All your base are belong to us.0 -
Back to the original posting, I saw three teenagers on bikes today, riding shot gun next to one another another, and they were getting a vast amount of abuse from other road users.
One teen was on his phone, the other listening to music, and the third seem to be looking into the sky. all three were peddling very slowly (normal walking distance)Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

And? I'm not really seeing the point in your post, there are bad cyclists just as there are bad drivers and despite what a few believe complaining about cyclists on here is not going to make any difference as it's unlikely anyone here even knows the people you're complaining about.
