At the final hustings event at Warrington in July. Asked if he would campaign for Brexit he said "No I wouldn’t rule it out".

But now he has 'ruled it out'.

Not really that much of a reach, now is it?:)0 -

And how did you get on when you asked him about that £22 bn extra he wanted to spend on boosting state pensions? You did say you were going to have a "word with Jeremy" about that particular proposal. Did you manage to persuade him to engage in another rapid U turn?0 -
Trouble with jezzers approach is that he has decided that, despite his own personal opinions on matters and his principles, he has said he would go out and talk to people and listen and form policies based on what people want.
Commendable in many ways; a leader who really listens to the people and rather than dictating his view he will endeavour to build a set of policies based on feedback from the electorate - so it should be a sure fire election winner as he will go into a GE with a set of policies that people have already said they want and will therefore be voted in.
However the feedback he's getting is clearly representative of the results of the recent election in that what people want is the policies the tories stood for - after all thats why they won. So what he's doing is gradually moving away from his left leaning policies to the policies of the middle, which are already being implemented by the government.
Eventually he should reach the conclusion that the nation has already decided how the country should be run and that his involvement in this process is a replication of what has already happened in the GE and hence will conclude that he should just be very very quiet and let the Tory's get on with running the country. After all they do know what they're doing.Left is never right but I always am.0 -
What is essentially happening at the moment is that Corbyn is meeting treachery and snakiness from within his own party.
Here we have Gordon Marsen's take on tuition fees.

Marsden is off message.
The thing the Labour MPs seem unaware of is that Jeremy has an army of Corbynistas who outnumber all their Blairite supporters put together.
We are aware that we are essentially fighting a political insurgency to take Labour back from them. Jeremy is canny, but he is walking a tightrope, as soon as his back is turned there will be a Kendall or a Cooper ready to plunge a knife into it. With glee from their 4% support.
But they will be carried away like matchwood in a tsunami that fast approaches them.0 -

the tsunami is presumably, 20 years of Tory rule0 -

Hopefully the reason for all the u-turns is that Mr Corbyn has realised that there is no money tree and spending billions on getting rid of tuition fees means not spending billions on increasing wages for tube drivers and the other trade union members that voted him in.
The piper will want paying if Mr Corbyn gets in.0 -

Mr Corbyn isn't going to sacrifice his beliefs. Not now not ever. Now in power along with his cronies they'll be formulating their strategy and policies. Meanwhile the Tories will dominant the middle ground.0 -

true, he will maintain his beliefs
he will however compromise on his policies0 -
Has Corbyn got a missus? I know he ditched one because she wouldn't cook gruel or something but has he got a new one.
Reason I ask is big daves is pretty foxy and isn't there some correlation between hot wife and votes?Left is never right but I always am.0
