Perhaps he`s going to do the opposite of most politicians and promise to stitch us up before the GE only to renege on those promises once elected.

The obvious fear is that he's claimed to have ditched some of the lunacy only to bring it back if he gets voted.

Given the current mess where each and every shadow cabinet member seems to have her own set of policies, which of us can really say we are sure what we are voting for if we vote Labour?

    - NATO. In or out?
    - EU. In or out?
    - Trident. Yes, yes but never used or no?
    - Tuition fees. For or against?
    - The Union. For or against or for undefined Fedalism?

You'd have to be nuts to vote for this lot.

That is such a good post it's worth repeating it.

Very close ruggedtoast old fruit, oh the difference a letter makes.

I have no doubt that he thinks of himself as highly principled but he rather seems to be dropping the policies he was elected on as fast as he can. I suspect that he will go to the electorate with a very different set of policies to those he went to the Labour electorate on. You will then claim something implausible like the policies he took to the Labour Party are now being misrepresented by the Tory Press.

I really don't see why you have to be beastly. Its most unnecessary.

Lets look at these U Turns from the prism of the most hostile Murdoch spoutlet possible:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/labour/11897382/Jeremy-Corbyns-five-U-turns-in-his-first-two-weeks-as-Labour-leader.html

    National Anthem

He didn't sing the national anthem once, which upset some people, so now he will. He has made it clear what he thinks of Royal Patronage.

    Trident

He didn't have much option here as far as I can see. Still too many Blairite MPs and opposition from the unions. He remains opposed to Trident and has said that he wouldnt use it as PM. Which renders it an even more pointless white elephant than it already is. Though it will likely remain for a future generation of warmongers. Beastly thing.

    EU

The Telegraph is really reaching here. He said that if the EU became brutal then it would lose the support of many people, and now said he cant envisage Labour campaigning for Brexit. When did he say he was going to campaign for Brexit?

    Image

What are they on about? He used to wear a vest and now doesn't?

Jeremy only just got his first salary bump this month so he finally has some money to purchase fair trade woven products sustainably sourced from Peru.

I suppose when he buys a new bicycle that will be a betrayal of the working man? Nonsense.

    Privy Council

Ugh. Ghastly, but he can't be sworn in without kowtowing. He already said in that C4 interview that if joining was part of the job and he could only join by kneeling then he'd have to.

Indeed and frankly that's a huge problem.

As we are starting to see in Scotland, a single party state is a huge problem even within a democratic structure. As much as I think that the Conservative Party is the best of the UK political parties I don't think that they should have untrammeled power.

Fascinating. I don't really give a crap about a Torygraph hatchet job TBH. What will Mr Corbyn do to push forward a coherent set of policies and what will he do when the other, democratically elected, MPs tell him to f......go forth and multiply?

Do you honestly think that Labour can go to the next election with two or three different policy solutions to each problem? Either Mr Corbyn has to sack a huge swathe of MPs or he has to...I don't know what. Accept that someone else is right. The problem with the latter is who? If he can't (won't) lead then what are British people voting for?

Yes I go along with that, I regret the current non-electability of the Lamour Party, as an floating voter I like to have a choice and for the Goverment Party to know they have to try even harder.

Unfortunately I don't see Labour being able to flush out their current over-left bias for at least 5 years.

Why is it that according to the BBC the full name of the Conservatives is 'The Tory Party, unexpected winners of the general election' and yet JC is merely the 'New leader of the opposition' even though his odds of 100+:1 were a lot longer than the Tories odds?
    I think....

    Is Stella Creasy a Corbynista?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-34462223
She wrote on Facebook that police were deployed "due to the large numbers of calls about a fight".

"At the time of the police arrival, the group were not committing offences but their presence in such numbers would be alarming to members of the public as would the volume of police vehicles," she said.
    I think....

Have you considered friending Jeremy on Facebook? Then you can ask him these questions yourself.

I guess as an emigrated ex pat Tory voter he might not prioritise your response over the work he is doing bringing decency back to politics, which has attracted 160,000 new supporters since the election but, as we mentioned - he is a jolly decent chap, so I am sure you will get a reply at some point (you can join up if you like).

    Good luck!

I can't help but wonder how many of the young new "Labour supporters" who voted for him, on the basis of what he had said on free uni, now feel let down (a la Clegg) and will ow abandon their temporary champion.

I wonder how may of those ... Triden, EU, Brexit, ............

Oh I could go listing the broken principles but they will never end will they.
