Grenfell is symbolic of years of Govmt mistreatment of huge swathes of this country.
IMO it has not (yet) actually been proven to be true. Until there can be a full forensic analysis carried out to determine whether the fault actually lay with the type of cladding chosen (for isulation purposes as much as cosmetic appearance), the advice given in respect of that, the way it was installed, what did or did not happen in relation to the alarm system etc etc, much of the current speculation increases tension without actually answering the questions.
For example one BBC reporter suggested the panels were polyurethane filled, whereas if it is correct that the panels were the PE grade, they were polyethylene filled. There is a difference between the two. Again, without proper investigations completed the general public cannot tell if this is important, and if so why, because at the moment, a) there is rightly a focus on the poor casualties and b) the necessity of ensuring that the remains of the tower are safe enough for personnel to enter.
Until those things are completed, many answers that the survivors and those elsewhere rightly deserve cannot, with the best will in the world, be delivered by anyone of whatever political persuasion or local / national governmental position.0 -
There's been a tragedy of huge proportions, the Govmts response has been hugely inept.
Has it? How exactly? As I understand it the emergency services did everything they could (sadly not enough for lots of people). The survivors have been looked after. A judge-led public enquiry was announced almost immediately. What was inept about any of that? What actual practical things to help people that should have been done, haven't happened?Corbyn has been smeared disgracefully by you and others.
I post factually about Corbyn, typically stuff that is easily provable. If you're claiming I've smeared him post some examples of me doing that.0 -

Newly published research:-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40318284The UK's wealth gap has been widening over the past decade, a report says.
Think tank the Resolution Foundation estimates 1% of adults, some 488,000 people, own 14% of the nation's assets - worth about £11 trillion.
At the other end of the financial scale, 15% (7.3 million people) either own no assets at all, or are in debt.0
