Agreed, which is why I don't understand why we're so lacklustre when it comes to fusion research.
We seem to have two major problems -
1) A source of energy that is as close to 100% renewable and non-polluting as we can achieve.
2) What to do with all of these people? They're eating all the fish, out-competing most of the other species on the planet, and polluting the seas with plastic. We barely need them for unskilled work any longer, and we'll soon not need them for what's currently skilled, and they seem remarkably resistant to upskilling. We can keep inventing new pretend jobs for some of them, but a whole load are going to have to be paid to do absolutely nothing other than consume.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

You have wasted your membership fee, the Labour Party is dead now.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
why would there be a problem with a Labour Leader that
-is a pacifist and doesn't believe in self defence
-refuses to condemn the people who exploded bombs in Warrington high street, or in the two pubs in Birmingham or the Hotel in Brighton or the other atrocities
-who maybe thinks opening the mines might be a good thing
-who gathers round him people openly racist0 -
