I owe Moby an apology for being called a hypocrite :D

Don't ever change, Moby old thing. I love you too.

I wonder if Mr Corbyn ever has doubts about his own crass incompetence. You've got to think that just now and again he has to wonder if he's just a teeny bit out of his depth.

=Generali;70034400]Sadly typical of the sort of personthat throws around allegations of hypocrisy. I'm not holding my breath for an apology either.
Totally agree my friend such threads should never see the light of day.
Unfortunately this sort feel completely justified in slinging whatever spite comes to mind. It's all completely off topic of course and uncalled for too.

Anyway, back to the matter in hand. I wonder how long this disaster will be allowed to drift on (I mean the Corbyn leadership, not this thread). Labour have a tradition of not sacking leaders, they are allowed to lose the election and then expected to quit. What then happens if Mr Corbyn won't quit?
Yes I agree this thread is very provocative isn't it and encourages posters to attack a political tradition in this country in a very partisan way! IMO it was never on topic....no real discussion at all of John Mc Connells new Economic Forum!

Ever thought of asking the thousands of people who voted for him?

Have you read the OP? [

As for this New Economic Forum, I can't find it using Google. If you could manage to link to it I'd be everso greatful. I'll even put up with more of your increasingly desperate insults if you do. :)

I can find a new economic forum but it doesn't appear to emply Mr McC or be run by him.

The only time that I can think of when Labour got rid of a leader was McDonald in 1931.

Not necessarily. Gaitskell lost in 1959 but carried on. Both Wilson and Kinnock did the same.

I don't believe that he will quit before 2020. And I'm not convinced he'll do so even if he loses.

He can be challenged. I think the current Labour Party rules allow an annual challenge where 20% of the PLP are prepared to back a challenger. In Corbyn's case, getting that 20% is not going to be difficult, the question would be what that extended electorate would do.

I believe that it might be a reference to McDonnells 'New Economics' debate tour. Yanis Varoufakis will be making an appearance.

No ...it's a response to repeated bigotry against the same man! I note with interest there have been no posts on this thread about McConnell's new economic forum......which is surely highly relevant to such a thread. The reality of course is that there is no mention because that is not the real purpose of the thread!

I think some of the comments on this thread go further than questioning the mans policies, a bit too far imo. Personally I think he is an idealist in a practical world and don't expect to see him around in two years time. Could be he surprises us and lasts till the next election but Labour will find again that the vocal twitterati (is that a thing?) are not the same thing as the common working voting woman/man. My frank opinion is that electing a man like Corbyn would swiftly result in a Greece style situation (*) where all the socialist promises run into the global free market and come crumbling down. I'd love to see our bond yields the day after Corbyn is elected.

(*) I'm just referring to the complete back track of Syriza.

It's called addressing the imbalance. Regarding the apology... I think you've got that one the wrong way round!...

    Nope.

You didn't start the thread. But you started the contention.

That's true. You haven't posted anything about McConnell's 'New Economics' tour. Granted, the first event only took place a few says ago, but did Mazzucato say anything interesting?

Being rude about politicians is a basic human right. People are always calling them idiots and fools, suffering from 'malformed brains', etc and so forth. None of which amounts to hatred or bigotry.

I don't know Antrobus....why don't you google it to find out and come up with a few choice quotes to back up your confirmation bias.:)
