    Your choice of course.

    But you do understand that if you pay it that won't remove it from your record?

    You will still have the black mark of a ccj on your record for 6 years since it first was issued.

    And lenders don't necessarily say it doesn't matter if your black mark has paid (satisfied) written next to it.

    Do lenders look at the reason for the CCJ - surely a CCJ caused by an unpaid loan is very different from one caused by an unpaid private ticket in terms of credit worthiness.

    I was thinking along the lines of employers who ask about a criminal record - most employers would look more severely on say a drink drive criminal record compared with a criminal record for no tv licence for example.

    You can fill in the appropriate form to have the decision set aside, then if PE decided to have another go in Court, you can have the hearing moved to your local Court, so it would cost them.

    Anyway, you can claim back all the costs involved when you win.

    Not sure that would work ... I don't think you could transfer to an out-of-jurisdiction court.
