EXIF data is easily amended, so cannot possibly be deemed to be solid evidence. Who is to say what the "original file" is, and how would you prove it's the exact file that was written to the camera's memory?
    That's the point though.

As I said on the other thread some editing programs strip out the EXIF data if the file is not saved properly, it can't prove that the image was or has been wrongfully edited but can prove that it has been used within an editing program.

  • I would be very grateful if you could let me know the car park, either here or by email. prankster@parking-prankster.com

This other case clearly shows times are being manipulated

I am interested to see if this is happening in just one car park (in which case a rogue warden may be responsible), or if it is widespread, in which case there may be a conspiracy to defraud, which is a much more serious criminal offence, and one more likely to get the police interested.

If you want me to blog your pictures too, I'm happy to do that.

I think you should also bring this to the attention of Steve Clarke at the BPA by emailing aos@britishparking.co.uk and copying him in at steve.c@britishparking.co.uk

Another case here where the boot of an adjoining car was seen to be open in both photos.

All completely irrelevant because they're not editing the photos, they're just playing silly beggars with the camera's date/time setting.

UKPC again. Looking more and more like systematic fraud. Either that, or the "network" of UKPC wardens or agents has picked up on a convenient scam to line their own pockets with target-based rewards.

I wonder if their clients are aware of this, perhaps they should be told

Let me think for one millisecond...er, yes please. If you don't have it yet, but know the car park, that would also be useful pre-information. Can you email rather than sending paper? A photo of a photo is probably good enough as long as its not too bad quality.
