Amber - I totally hear what you say, this is why I joined the gym last year, I was fed up of spending all my time ferrying everyone here and there (Mr S didn't drive), so I thought I should put myself higher up the list of priorities
Smartmart - Yes I do remember lol, I just think in my mind everyone on here are people I havent met as you're all in my computer
Your footie ground was very quiet too although nice and easy to get out of at the end of the game
Happy New Year one and all - I'm trying to resist texting Mr S, I know he won't text me as he's probably paraletic somewhere right now  Anyway, it shouldn't bother me should it

It was quiet that day and hasn't got much louder since to be honest. Did you stand up behind the goal or sit in the seats on the side? If you were in the seats, I would have been just along from you. The last two years, I have commentated on the games for the partially sighted fans so I get to sit in the smaller press box, just on the halfway line in the stand. Our manager at the time said it was a mistake playing Bournemouth as we got handed a lesson, ain't that the case.
And yes, walk away from the phone!

Nope, I'm done with his drinking. And his mother. I'm freeeeeee

As much as I liked being in a relationship I think Ive been on my own too long and am too independent. I felt very trapped a lot of the time. I need my space. Its just cos its NYE I think, makes you feel like you're missing out on a big party when in reality I'd rather be tucked up warm in bed than cold waiting for taxis surrounded by drunk people

The bit behind the goal was shut? We were on the smaller side, all our fans were that side and your lot were on the taller side? It did feel a bit like we'd gatecrashed a museum

and the best bit was when they had to get that seagull off the pitch that clearly wasn't intimidated by the roar of the crowd :rotfl::rotfl:Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Yes, that was quality, it was only a baby one too I think. Combined might of stewards, security and a player or two and it outwitted everyone. I'd forgotten that the terrace was shut, you would have been on the same side as me then. Wish I'd thought of giving you a shout, you would have heard me that's for sure.
Same as you ref relationships. Moved here six or seven years ago now and haven't been in a relationship since. I was best man for my best friend in 1999 and there was a spark between myself & the chief bridesmaid but we were both in relationships. Then, two years ago, we both found ourselves single and still "sparked up" but I like being able to do what I want, when I want within reason. Reckon I'll be single till the boys leave home now.
Also have a thing about drinking. Boys mum is an alcoholic and they are constantly messed about when she relapses. Sad really but at least they have a stable life nowadays which wasn't always the case. They moved in four years ago today and like I said before, it's been a struggle but we get on really well and life is generally pretty good.
Enough waffle from me, sorry to witter on, on your thread. Have a great New Year and hope you and the little man have a super time in 2016.0 -

Have just sat here and thought very similar things. Turns out I like sitting with my Mum laughing at Graham Norton and enjoying the fireworks with a warm bed upstairs as opposed to the waiting for the night bus/taxis/miracle to get me home
Happy New Year Benben - good to have you back here XXXNevertheless she persisted.0
