Car dented by Tesco filling station

That is exactly what happened, they must of removed both pumps to do it. So it was probably done on purpose
Not necessarily, given they appear to be relatively easy to dislodge its possible they simply knocked the other over and accidentally put them back incorrectly. Certainly I've taken both pumps out previously to untangle them, dont believe I've ever put them back the wrong way round but it isnt beyond the stretch of imagination.0 -

Thanks for the link.
Perhaps if you could write a similarly humorous email then you too could get a £5 voucher.0 -
I know it's not Tesco fault personally, but due to some idiot purposely switching the pumps I now have a dent on my car. There should be something to prevent this from.happening. What annoyed me was the response, because people have previously had compensation for a cherry which was not placed center on a bakewell tart
There is. It's you.
Like yourself i like to take car of my cars. I always check the pumps to make sure that the regular diesel hasn't been swapped with premium diesel and if they are i just untangle them. Had them tangled up and in wrong places several times but with a bit of care on my part i haven't had them hit my car yet.All your base are belong to us.0 -
They didn't look tangled hence not untangling them.0

I would start a claim in the higher court against the pump manufacturer , the pump maintenance company ,Tesco and the woman that wrote to you
you must also insist that the chairman of Tesco is available to be called as a witness.
or alternatively , visit specsaver and buy some glasses
you got a dent , tough claim on your insurance then0 -
Ask Tesco to review their CCTV from the petrol station and find out the car details of the person who switched the pumps over.
I agree with you that someone did this on purpose (as why on earth would you lift two nozzles at once???), but it is not Tesco's fault.
A dent can be popped out very cheaply.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

If they're not willing to release the footage of the culprit who tangled the pipes, maybe they could just give you £150 direct, and recoup their loss by releasing footage of you denting your car on You've Been Framed.0
