New Best Buys Testing Feedback

I'm in the middle of trying to redesign the best buys section.
My aim is to make it easier to use, look crisper, better designed, and compliment the new divided articles section.
So that it can be done quickly, i'm doing it myself before the developer comes online and i'm not the best with these visual things.
I'm half way through. What do you think. To gaudy? Is it clear. Is it an improvement? Any changes (the credit card bit formating is slightly awry, that'll be fixed)
New Best Buys Dummy Draft 1
New Best Buys Dummy Draft 2 - alternate colours
Current Best Buys
There are two versions above - any thoughts on good colour schemes would be helpful too
