Thank you all for your kind wishes.

I love the video MT, we had a good giggle watching that!

You know, sometimes it does help to go over things.
I woke really thinking actually, we haven't done too badly considering. I have a good job that I love, which will one day lead to our forever home. Its a good starting point.

I had a lovely day at work. Breakfast went down a treat with all - I could have done with more as some people missed out, made me feel quite guilty.

DD woke me with 2 of the 4 gifts I had prepicked, she chose the nivea lip balm set and the shower gel set and sang beautifully to wake me up!
From work, I got some vouchers and beautiful cards. I was also surprised by one of my friends who brought some flowers into work. I was so touched by how thoughtful everyone was that I had to sneak away and let a few tears out.

I missed my mum today, but I think she may have been around me at somepoints, no concrete evidence, just a feeling.

You've done an amazing job. How many people do you know who have been through what you have and still be so positive and able to achieve what you manage. Your diary makes me tired sometimes just reading how much you do!

So I am pondering my savings - not much there at the moment I know but its a work in progress.

I am contemplating combining all into one pot rather than separate funds. My accounts have rather poor interest rates atm, ISA is 1%, regular saver is up to 2% - but only based on the increase in balance per month ie less than 100 pm is something like 0.5%.

I wonder then, if I put it in regular saver first then transfer it ISA say every quarter, do I benefit from interest rates on both accounts?

As I am restricted as to how much I can set aside each month I really do need to make sure the money that is there is actually doing something - every little helps as Mr T tells me.

I think I need to have a look at some savings calculators and work out a plan!

    Hello hello :)

Just a thought - do you bank with HSBC? If you open a new current acc with them they will pay you £10 a month.
In addition, if you open an ISA with £300 they will put £10 in your account each month for a year.
Have you got the Halifax reward account? That pays £5 a month.

Could be a nice little earner, maybe treat money?
