Your right, it is narrow.. its part of a bigger s&s isa with diversified funds. I pick the shares above because a/ I like a bit of a risk and b/ I'm 30 so time to grow0 -

there is a whole world out there of collective investments.0 -
It is not timing the market.
It is time in the market.
That being said, my two cents worth says that equities are going to drop a lot more, on the back of the Chinese not reporting the extent of their negative results.0 -
Look upon this drop in equity values as a 'Sale -everything at bargain basement price!' Fill yer boots while you can

Agree with everyone !
We don't need the money for 5 years at the least. 10 years, God
Knows
If money is already invested, prepared for th 20% drop in values. It's more the timing to buy in. Like eventing I guess, always want to buy at the best timing. Despite saying that, maybe in long time it matters slightly less! We bought our 1st property right before the crash in 2008, lost about 20k straight away, now it's increased by 150k at the least.0 -

Can still avoid the obvious pitfalls though.0 -
You say you are topping up existing investments, so you are drip-feeding, and this is the latest drip.stringer_bell wrote: »I hate drops, I know your supposed to buy more when it drops.. but.. I would hold on until this 'correction' levels out0

As stock markets are down, and you can't predict the bottom of the market, I would say anytime now would be perfect.
(Although drip feeding is probably always going to be a safer tactic.)0
