I second the Möbius. I have 3, one facing forward, one rear, one internal, all converted to a capacitor over the battery.
I wish they would improve the night optic. But for the priceprice and size, I wouldn't be without.0 -
Tecmoan every time! i bought 2 of the cheap ones he recommended, the rear clips are so funny!0

I have two Transcend Pro 200's, in two vehicles obviously.
Bear in mind they do not have their own battery back up, the power retention necessary to keep the date/time correct is not terribly reliable, one of the two holds its date/time in all normal use, the other won't even last overnight so that one i have taken off the date/time stamp from recording.
Other than that they are very good at what they do, tucked behind the rearview mirror they are not too noticeable, and the rather silly chrome surround of the lens is easily covered with some black insulation tape to make them less obvious.
What i do like about them is that you don't need a magnifier to see the menus, easily operated too.0 -
Thank you - that is really useful feedback0

I believe that the power retention - due to nothavingh an internal battery worth speaking of - was an initial early version problem.
Certainly mine which is six months old now - can go for a week sitting idle.0 -
Thanks Iceweasal, i think...;) as usual as with so many things i bought the version that wasn't quite right.
I do the same with cars, always manage to buy the version that lasted the shortest span, ie the last couple of years production that were often fitted with the engine destined for the later model, which makes parts buying a right PITA.0
