Furious with vodafone

Hi all,

I'm unbelievably angry and frustrated with Vodafone. I joined on a sim-only contract about 2 weeks ago, and gave Vodafone my PAC code from O2 10 days ago. Since then Vodafone have failed time and time again to complete the port.

I've phoned customer service 4 times now and keep getting the same empty promises again and again about how they've corrected the problem and the port will be completed by 8pm the following day. It really is infuriating to be repeatedly lied to - i've truely never experienced customer service as bad as this. One agent told me that he was "100% confident" and there was "absolutely no doubt" that the porting would be successful the 2nd time - why would vodafone train their people to overpromise like that? As each time I call they keep being adamant they've sorted the problem they wont allow me to speak to a manager or escalate it further.

Not only has no one been able to contact me on my original phone number for 10 days ("number is not recognised"), but now I'm getting no vodafone service whatsoever - I've had to buy a separate PAYG sim just use my phone! I use my mobile phone for work and this is costing me business and money and is completely unacceptable.

I know this isn't an uncommon problem, so does anyone on here have any tips on getting this resolved? The porting team are completely useless, so are there any other teams I can try? If I try and end my contract altogether is there any chance I can get my original mobile number back or will it be lost forever?

Any help whatsoever will be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Jimi

Follow the the repeated instructions on the Vodafone complaints thread to contact the Web Relations Team. You can't miss it - it's always on page 1 of this forum. Can't think why?

P.S. My God - this morning it's on page 2! Can't remember the last time that happened. Pity it won't last.
