Haggle with RAC, AA & more
Comments

Was with Driver Guardian for several years, charging less than £100 all-in to include Europe. Then was pointed in the direction of the AA where the similar service was well over £250 😱 however with TopCashback got that down on a par with DG. Renewal due in a few months, there won’t be any cashback offers available for the second years membership so can’t see I’ll be staying with the AA a at those prices.0

RAC was up for renewal and was they wanted to auto renew for over £275.
Spoke to them and asked about online price of £120 only to be told that this was for new customers only.
Told them I was unhappy and wanted to cancel, they reduced it to £190.
Again told them I was unhappy and they matched online price with free onward travel for however long I stay with them.
£275 down to £120. Result.0 -

I've been with the AA for 39 years. Gold member, joint membership, Roadside Assistance, National Recovery. My renewal notice has just come in, £305.48.I did call and threatened to leave a few years back and got a discount. At the time it was easier for me to stay. I think it's time to call again.Renewal is due on the 1st of July. How long before then should I call?
