Not looking for criticism, i know i'm in the wrong. I'm just desperately trying to find a way to avoid the negative credit mark.
Very statements are produced every 4 weeks not every calendar month so if you keep paying on your payday you are going to keep missing more payments!
If you have registered for online statements check your spam box or the contact details you have given Very as they do email and text every time a statement is produced.Savings Target 2015 £10/£3000 :rotfl:0 -
Hi all,
I got a letter informing me of the credit increase, but no contact regarding that May statement!!Credit score slowly improving!0 -
I have just read a bit on experians website that say that companies won't usually report a late payment until its 30 days late?Credit score slowly improving!0

I just logged into Very (I dont really use them)
On the account home page.
Next statement date
Payment due and date its due
Do you pay online?0 -
I do pay online! Didn't receive statement so logged on and realised it was over due then paid full account balance, 12 days late!Credit score slowly improving!0

I'm not sure it will cause you much if any problems, are you in desperate need of credit in the next few months? If not just forget about it, any lender looking at your account in 6 months time will see lots of ticks and just one late payment, it's unlikely to spook them. You have probably put too much thought into it, it's not a default, it's not a CCJ, it's one late payment, and in all honesty it was paid late. It may be annoying but it's not a lie,but as you said it's less than 2 weeks late. Get a note added to your file and forget about it0

The best thing to do is to keep regular contact with your online account with very and you shouldn't miss paying the bill by the due date, I know when my statement date is so I always log on just after this to see when the payment needs to be in by, unfortunately this is a human error as we all forget from time to time but shouldn't do too much damage to your report, it's only one late after all.0

Nope! I still recieve statements... including the one informing me of a credit limit increase. Which seems crazy considering not two months ago they've marked me negatively credit wise..Credit score slowly improving!0

Very are reporting factually correct information, to change it would be against guidelines.
End of the day, regardless of alleged missing statements, you made a late payment. That is a fact.0
