Nokia 3310

So I'm thinking of swapping my smartphone for a 3310 (even if only temporarily) and was just wondering if anyone knows where I can pick one up? Also, do any providers do tariffs with only minutes and texts (no data)? And are normal sized SIM cards still available for them? Answers would be much appreciated, thanks! 😁

It takes a mini sim from what I remember, you might find one on eBay or one of the retro suppliers, probably budget for a new battery as they are that old that any original battery will be dead from old age.

My missus has one, by choice I may add, just like the one in the picture.

    Definitely a standard size sim.

Full size sim was a debit card, mini is standard cut out the full size around the gold contact area common up till now, micro is smaller and nano is the child fingernail type...

Nothing stops you from using minutes and texts only on any pure PAYG.

eBay is your friend-there are 161 3310's listed on there this morning, mostly 99p upwards...

You may have already set your mind on the Nokia, which is fine, but a similar yet slightly more modern phone is the Samsung GT-S5611. I got mine unlocked direct from Three (PAYG) for £29.99 plus a £10 PAYG voucher. It's a 3G phone with a colour screen and very basic multimedia features like MMS, email (albeit quite primitive) and java apps.

Why a 3310? You can probably get a new basic GSM phone like a Nokia 130 for the same as you'll pay on eBay for an ancient 3310.
