JFK Transfers

Hubby and I are travelling to New York (JFK) in January.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of Airport Transfers? (To Manhattan)
Don't really want a taxi, or a shuttle, would prefer a meet n greet service.
Have looked at a few but still not sure.
Can't beat first hand experience so thought I would ask

We used a taxi and it was so easy, 5 minute wait to get one of the bigger ones and just outside the airport door. I think the meet and greets have to park further away. It was a set fare of $51 plus tolls and tip and you coul pay by credit card. WiThout a doubt I would do the taxi again.0

Ask the Question in the New York thread.
Personnally I use the Metro-but I pack light :cool:0 -
Uber?

Vehicles in each category
*Uber is not a transportation provider. No need to tip. Flat rates apply to direct trips between specified locations.
Much preferable to the blatant begging of 20% to 30% on top that goes on in that city.0 -
Thank you-sounds ideal. Was worried in case it was metered, but if it's a set fare, that could be the answer

Uber discount codes may work
New York thread was a sticky and very easy to find until the idiots at MSE thought it was better to put all them into another sticky so now no-one knows where it is.0
