Is it possible to get a better EE SIM only deal in store?

I want to move to EE. (I tend to have SIM Only contracts). However for the data you get it's a tad on the pricey side. I am still minded to go with them however as I found they have a considerably faster network than Three who I am currently with but the price does hold me back.....
I wondered if it's worth heading into stores to see if they have a better deal or try Carphone Warehouse?

The best way to get a better than advertised sim only deal would be via a cash back deal with someone like mobilephonesdirect.com.
The 10GB plan worked out around £8 a month last time I looked.
Edit
They are still doing it, £28.99 a month with £252 cash back.

No catch I've seen, MPD are a reputable company as well, they have been around for decades.====0
