Solar panels/water tank problem

Hi everyone

I do apologise if this is in the wrong section, not sure where else to put it?!

We bought our house last year and it already had solar panels.

We had the water tank serviced in Feb this year and since then it had made loud, intermittent banging noises during the day. The first time heard it I panicked and thought someone had broken in

We had the engineer come back out twice and each time he has said it's the solar panel fluid making the noise and it should eventually stop. That was 4 weeks ago and it still hasn't stopped!

Any other ideas? Worth getting a second opinion or just leave it?

Might be worth posting on the Green & Ethical Moneysaving board, where there's likely to be people with experience of solar thermal.
