I phoned them up yesterday. They've sold out. The reason why they were selling them off so cheap is because they've been discontinued.0

Hey I am looking for a cheap MP3 player for the gym, Empire seem cheap but are they any good
Just worried to hear of possible delivery problems.
Also, being cheeky do they give a discount for first orders? how do I find the code?
Are the smaller memory MP3 players gettin cheaper anyway as everyone is going for the high memory ones so it is worth waiting to see if others do similar sales?:j0 -
Hi JSF
If you are looking for a cheap MP3 player for the gym then check out https://www.7dayshop.com. they are doing the Irfiver N10 128mb for £51.99 inc vat and delivery. I have bought two of these last week and have to say they are fantastic quality both in style and sound. They are so small and ideal for the gym. Just type in iriver n10 in the search box on their site. They also come with a great presentation box and are delivered in 3 days.
Very easy to use and the firmware is upgradable on the iriver site.
hope this helps.0 -

Even though it is a bit too small capacity at 128mb, it is in fact only £37.95 inc Vat & Delivery !0 -
I got a 256mb one from ebay from a hong kong seller. Cost me £8 plus £11 postage....its absolutely fab and he has given me technical support, friendly emails...ie a top ebayer powerseller type with 99% feedback
He sells some mp3s at a buy it now price but sometimes he does a low start price and instead....hence the £8
He's called tobomax ( I think)
Any more info needed..pm me!

I got this info from somewhere, else, i bought the blue one, and was offered the silver one, as they had sold out.
I ordered late Wednesday Night (11.30PM), and it arrived on friday. I was going to sell it on but it is just so cool, and for the price it is just about right for college trips, and to knock around, and at 68grams it is somewhat lighter than my Rio Karma!!!
As for JSF who wants to find a cheap MP3 player for the gym, you will want a solidstate mp3 player, i.e. one with no moving parts. So it wont damage the player if you are jogging etc. A solid state MP3 player are much better for sport activities, and are normally a lot smaller. My advice for solid state mp3 players, the cheaper ones from ebay, do look cheap and nasty, they may be able to play mp3s etc, but it is worth just paying that little bit more for a quality branded mp3 player, i.e. a solidstate samsung, or rio etc. Just have a look through different websites and ebay. There are some totally cool, quality asian companies now that have oled screens and are very well made, and get quite high marks in tests.
Hope that helps

It may not be the best MP3 player, but it is very shiney, like a mirror, very cool and stylish, light and aluminium :P but it has a quite short battery life and not the best system for looking at the songs with. But it is cool, for just uploading your albums and playing them. A cool feature of this MP3 player is that it can store up to 4 songs in its cache (if you specify it to do so - read the manual) so that it doesnt have to access the hard drive again, and it will cycle through those 4 songs, this way you can go jogging etc, without damaging the player and hard drive.Student Moneysaving Expert :beer:0
