    Hey

There is no difference apart from the colour.......HZ-WS2000L is blue (have a look at the 3D rotate image - http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/products/details/html/AIW-HZWS2000L.htm) and the HZ-WS2000S is silver (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/Content/Products/Details/index.asp?modelcode=AIW-HZWS2000S&bhcp=1)

I've just received a call from empiredirect and they haven't got any blue one's (HZ-WS2000L) left in stock, apparently the offer was a mistake. However, they have promised me the silver model for the same price of £49.99, nice.

Just thought you might like to know.

Thanks for difference between the two versions. I'm stuck now as to whether I should buy one or get the one from here: http://www.htelephones.co.uk/sales/salespage.htm?doro8075=1

Aiwa from Empiredirect has 1.5GB and ID3 tag support

MPman model much smaller, OLED display, lyrics & FM radio & voice recording support and at 56 quid delivered is only slightly dearer. Only 1GB of flash memory though.

Thing is, the guy in the next cube at my works is on his third replacement mini hard drive for his camera, he says they are rubbish quality. (One of the defective ones is in bits on his desk it's very interesting to see the insides.)

I'll second that. I've bought mp3 players for cars from them over the course of a couple of years and the service (and prices) have always been excellent :)

    Yep, caraudiodirect are THE best.

Check out https://www.talkaudio.co.uk (cAD's forums). They are equally top notch.

yep same here, I ordered 2 blue ones and got a call today asking if I would be happy to receive the silver ones at the same price as the blue ones are out of stock. Mmmmmmm let me think for a minute 1, 2, 3, 4.........yes go on then i suppose so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing to watch out for is the finish is a chrome effect finish which is similar to the backs of the ipod, these are prone to getting scratched really easy so I would suggest you buy a case for it.

Was told I will receive them both tomorrow, if this happens I will be full of praise for Empire Direct. Nice to see some companies getting it right for their customers!

From what ive seen on various forums and newsgroups the mpman mp3 players have have a bad reputation as they tend to just stop working with bizarre firmware errors.

Im not sure ifi ts true of that model though I hope not as it looks to be a bargain! Please say it aint so?

    edit
another thing is that site reliable it looks very amaturish but I think Id really like that player if I can be sure the site is ok and the player will be fine

I (according to Parcelforce) should have my Aiwa sporty model tomorrow. If so I'll be chuffed to bits. Was a bit wary after reading some reviews about Empire ,but spoke to them this morning, tracking is updated etc, so living in Norn Irn, if I get it tomorrow Empiredirect can take a bow (hopefully!!)
