Barclays, Skipton and now Halifax are making this a horrible day!
I got mine from Skipton, pretty good and fast in responding."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Any recommendations in the North West area?
We aren't really able to recommend specific ones due to forum rules, google and review website are your best friend."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Take your pick really, just avoid EA services full stop. I got my Mortgae broker on here and it took him 11 days to get an offer, which is pretty good considering I was self employed.
Sounds closer to a miracle than pretty good.I am a Mortgage Broker

Looks like I am better off with a local broker and deal face to face than some big firm operating like a factory.
Depends if the factory is Toyota or BL.I am a Mortgage Broker

Why hire a mortgage broker at all? Just do it yourself. Easy enough if you have internet access and have a basic understanding of mortgages. :beer:0

If you have adverse credit or don't want the hassle of dealing with the lender direct, it's often better to go to a broker.
If your self employed it would be more difficult via lender. Which lenders to go for what do they need e.t.c
I'm not saying a broker is for everyone, especially some of the free ones can give poor customer service as a paid one would. But they do it every day while you only do it once ever few years."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Thanks for the reply everyone, much appreciated.

Now time to find a decent local broker, now that is another headache.
Try mortgagestogether.com they are fee free brokers, cover a good portion of the market
Also had good experience with justmortgages.co.uk although they require a fee on application but have access to a wider range of products and offers etc
Hope this helps0
