    Use the Gatwick Express (train). The station is right in Gatwick South terminal and it takes 30mins into London Victoria.From there you have acessto the tube,buses,taxis etc

    If I were you I would take the train from Gatwick to Kings Cross, it takes about 45 minutes, and these trains go every 15 minutes throughout most of the day. You can then get the Piccadilly one stop to Russell Square, or even walk (it is about a 10-15 min walk).

    Although it only takes half an hour to get to Victoria, there is no direct tube and the bus will take at least 20 mins I would think. Also the Gatwick Express is more expensive than the non-express train.
