Latest BT Bill wrong - BT Sport

Options
I have read and contributed to the thread on BT Sport for fiver debacle.
I for one rang up and 'downgraded' to free BT Sport Lite and confirmed no recontract.

Latest BT Bill came in today and I have been charged the £5 a month for BT Sport.

Looks like another call to BT tomorrow to get this sorted out. I have kept the date and exact time of when I made my initial call so hopefully that will stand me in good stead to get sorted.

Just checked mine, charged £0 (actually charged £13.50 with a £13.50 Broadband Loyalty discount).

I signed a new contract the other week to get free BT sport, but when i received my monthly bill, had been charged £5.

Quick phone call, and turns out that my new contract started about the same time as new monthly bill generated, and will be sorted by refund next month.

Phone them and I am sure they will sort it.

    Its all rather confusing .
I renewed via BT Sports complaints team and thought i had free BT Sports as that was the reason for the complaint .
Billed today and charged for BT Sport .
Help desk said i have to re contract my BT TV to get free sport ( nothing mentioned by complaints team originally ) .
At least its free but the logistics of BT and its services is a nightmare .

....but Sky have gone that way as well - deals on one thing dependent on a second (or even third) component!

In my case it was more a question of complaints phoning me re Sport complaint.
We then sorted out a deal with unlimited and a new 12 month contract .As we had spent most of the time taliking about BT Sport and no mention of existing TV contract needing renew i was dismayed to see this month BT Sport charges .
Help then said i had to renew my BT TV contract for free Sports . That a free TV contract that still has 9 months to end .Even the renewal email i just received from BT does not mention the TV i just recontracted to .
Going to have to wait for next months bill to be sure .

Find some decent reliable streams and i wont care about BT Sport .
