:snow_grin morning everyone, it must be nearly christmas because surely august is meant to be sunny - oh the rain! still at least my tomatoes are growing well.
Today I'm planning to:
*Not use tumble dryer or dishwasher
*Make fairy cakes with daughter for the week
*Have 2 items finishing on ebay today, I hope they sell
*Find 2 more items to list on ebay
*Only spent a little bit on super glue for bed - it is falling apart but need to save for a new bed, we've have it for 12 years. has seen us through 5 house moves and dd jumping on it!
*Do clicks, searches and surveys and comps
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Today I was going to do a boot fair but the rain gave me a lie in :rotfl:
And I checked on e-bay and I could probably get more for some stuff if I posted it there. (A shaun the Sheep rucksack went for £10!!!! I only paid £7 for the one I have -I'd have welcomed £2 at the boot!)
I have a VERY OLD mobile phone that someone gave me. I believe you can get Tesco points for them? Is it true that people collect them though? I haven't seen any on e-bay like this one......0 -
I've handed over my debit card to my boyfriend to look after for me. I desperately need to get out of the habit of spending my money on useless things so he's taking charge of my card.
It's just a temporary measure, a kind of cold turkey for a few weeks to let me see if I miss those spends.0 -
This weekend I have/will:
Made scones yesterday using things out the cupboards when I really wanted to go and get something from the bakers
Make a sausage casserole from scratch for dinner last night for us and a friend
Listed another book on amazon (3/5) (am going through shelves trying to find things I don't *need*)
had a NSD yesterday and hopefully will have one today - if not it's just milk we need.
Got 2 more lots ready for ebay to go on tonight
Working on shopping list for this week and looking online at tescos for prices etc.
Cleaning and tidying - trying to get house looking nice for when my parents come for the BH and also might find some more stuff for ebay!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Today I have/ will do:
Got 3 receipts with points added at customer Services at Tesco.
OH AND HAD A RUDE EXPERIENCE WITH CASHIER AT TESCO. I ASKED HER IF SHE COULD ADD A CLUBCARD POINT FOR NOT USING ANY CARRIER BAGS. SHE LOOKED AT ME STRANGELY AND SAID THAT SHE ALWAYS DOES IN AT THE END AND NOT VERY NICELY EITHER. DH EVEN SAID SHE WAS GIVING ME ATTITUDE FOR NO REASON.
NEEDLESS TO SAY I REPORTED HER AT CUSTOMER SERVICES. ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR GIVING ME ATTITUDE JUST BECAUSE SHE WAS HAVING A BAD DAY. I WAS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED! GOD IF I HAD BEEN 15 YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS ALOT SHYER THE WOMAN WOULD HAVE GOT ME IN NEAR TEARS! NOT NOW - I'M THICK SKINNED. HA HA... (sorry for the caps)
Anyway..
Used 1 x 25p coupon off my shopping
Used a free NOTW coupon
Used £17 Homebase vouchers towards bathroom cabinet. rest of the money to come from joint account.
Used remainder of my WH smith points towards a magazine
Got 1 x reduced bottle of 2ltr juice and reduced 1 ltr UHT milk - total 85p
Took home the 2 sachets of tomato kepchup we didn't use at Burger King. Although it was DH turn to pay for lunch saved him £3+ as i used a BOGOF voucher for an Angus burger from yesterdays Star paper.
Done my R Point and Mutual point clicks.
Entered 2 competitions.
Noticed on my Tesco receipt I've got my 500 points for an old mobile I posted a few weeks for recycling.Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
Boots points: £0.28

Had a good day, had to redeem a £50 loyalty voucher would timeout end of August, but nothing on sale so decided to buy only things needed short term. Only had to pay 30P excess on the shop so couldn't have got it much closer.
Had another smaller voucher, but I need to buy some thank you presents, so decided to use this as a contribution towards the cost.
Learning more on MBing!!!
Sticking to preset/researched totals on Ebays is hopefully also working to make sure I don't pay too much/overspend.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.0 -
Did some batch cooking to use up some courgettes, tomatoes etc from the garden. now got six meals of pasta sauce in freezer along with the 5 pies/crumbles i made yesterday, and 11 jars of jam in cupboard, but some for mum and friends.
Not been anywhere so not spent any money.:D
Got lots of baking ingredients cluttering up cupboards so may bake some cakes/cookies later.
