18/19.8.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done this weekend?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to the weekend !!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • do a couple of matched bets
  • hang a load of washing on the airer and not use the tumble drier
  • see clients (don't normally do that at the weekend)
  • leave my purse at home when I go out with my friend - she wants my help to choose new ski boots and I would be in danger of spending loads on me and the kids!
  • carry on with my brainstorming/budgets
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • be positive
  • have a no spend weekend
I hope everyone has a good one xx

I have around 10lbs of blackberries picked yesterday locally, lots of rhubarb from mums garden:D and just bought some bramley apples. today i am going to turn this lot into blackberry/apple pies, blackberry and rhubarb crumbles and blackberry and apple jam. Should fill freezer and stock us up with jam, will make some for mum in exchange for the rhubarb i keep liberating from her garden;) ;)
Still have lots of green tomatoes in my greenhouse so may make some chutney too.

Not going anywhere so won't be spending any money.
