I think you made the right choice, well thats if your son likes all the coursework type of work, it can get quite daunting and I even named some weekends 'coursework overload'.
Glad that you have taken my advice, let us know if he gets into the college, it's quite late but colleges still let people in even after the start date.

The secret with coursework is to avoid that awful male thing of putting it off until tomorrow and then it is due the next day before you know it. If you can keep it going a bit at time it is best.:beer:0

:jUpdate. Well that was two years ago. DS did the national diploma, got 3 merits and is off to uni in Falmouth next week to do the course which made him decide to drop a levels and go to college to do the diploma.:jWeight loss slimming world Starting weight 12st 2lbs.
