"Windows Messenger" help required please

Windows messenger is cutdown xp version of MSN (now got fancy name like Windows LIve Messenger). Once you have logged in you can change the setting so it DOES NOT log you in automtically.
MSN can also be set so that antiviurs software can be used to check files downloaded but the safest thing is just good old common sense. My daughters use MSN a lot and their little group have put a rule in place that they will not download/click anything until their friend gives them a second confirmation that they have sent the file/link across and its OK0
