            Hello
Not sure if this is the correct place but,
Anne Robinson on Watchdog has experts on YouTube clips (may be outdated?) saying throw this away, ignore but your posts stae in places do not ignore appeal etc.
Its not - you need to read the Newbies Sticky, then start your own thread for more detailed help and advice.
That Watchdog advice is outdated - the law changed back in 2012. Again, you need to read the Newbies Sticky which is current and lays-out a number of options to get shot of this.0

Just returned from holiday and find I have only 3 days left to appeal.

2010 Watchdog programmes - well out of date! Please read the NEWBIES thread here, which is up to date. See the other thread like this one about UKPPO though because this isn't a normal case, it's a hybrid ticket, can't be appealed. Can be complained about! IS NOT TO BE PAID!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0

Presumably since they are offering this fee instead of prosecution, you can decline the fee and go for the prosecution, which they won't actually be able to do. The levels of evidence required for a prosecution are much higher as well, and it wouldn't be in the public interest.
If they file an MCOL for the fee, you can point out that their previous statement must be false, and you can cause them a lot of trouble.0

            Thanks for the replies.
I have been on the newbies thread and found the template.
 Q. Is UKPPO an AOS member ? Paperwork has BPA membership ?
Coupon Mad , you state this is a hybrid case and cannot be appealed ? Can you elaborate more please. Is this as I stated, the form offers no PoPLa option?
Should I complain using the template and hope this goes away ?0

Yes it's a BPA AOS member.
PoPLA is declining to hear appeals where the charges are claimed to be issued pursuant to byelaws.

As you have already been asked please start your own thread. It is going to become increasingly difficult to differentiate between cases if you do not.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0

            Hi All,
I'm the original poster, Its been a long time since the original post but would like to update you and ask further advice.
Since the original "parking charge" for unloading / loading a person there have been numerous letters received from debt collectors acting on behalf of UK Parking Patrol Ltd.
The charge has increased, decreased etc on each letter received from the debt collectors all of which have not been replied to. The letters changed to a different debt collector "Debt Recovery Plus" (which through research is actually the same debt collector just using a different name).
Since April / May 2016 until now there has been no further letters. A period of more than 6 months have elapsed since the last communication received and it was thought that the issue had been dropped.
However, on Friday 11th Nov a new letter was received from "Gladstones Solicitors" address 1 The Stables, Red Cow Yard, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 6DG, website gslcollections.com.
The letter states that the claimant UK Parking Patrol Ltd, due to the absence of a valid payment or appeal have instructed Gladstone to recovery of the debt.
"As all other attempts have failed our client may now instruct us to take legal action against you. To prevent such action we invite you to make payment to DRP immediately or confirm in writing to DRP your proposal in respect to this debt. Please note that propsals should be sent directly to DRP, propsals sent to Gladstones solicitors may not be considered."
The letter then goes on to outline additional costs may be incurred through court fees, fixed costs, judgement costs, warrant fees etc. The usual threatening stuff about gaining future credit etc.
I'd appreciate any further advice in how to take this letter and what possible actions I should now take. I read somewhere that if 6 months elapse between letters then further action can't be taken? Or I might be wrong.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
 Regards,
 Chippy_760

If you've read all the other Newcastle/UKPPO threads here, and particularly on pepipoo.com, you'll know that no-one's been daft enough as yet to take one of these cases to court, lest it exposes their entire scam. On that basis, ignoring Gladstones is probably safe.
But you could treat it as an LBC if you like, and respond robustly. I wouldn't put it past Gladstones to persuade a PPC sooner or later to take an airport case to court. The PPCs seem to be oretty gullible to Gladstones, despite the fact they frequently lose spectacularly. Don't worry, there are plenty of people on the forums who are itching for one of these to go to court, and there would be oodles of legal and financial help available in such eventuality.0

Interesting choice of address because they moved to High Leigh Park Golf Club in July 2016.However, on Friday 11th Nov a new letter was received from "Gladstones Solicitors" address 1 The Stables, Red Cow Yard, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 6DG, website gslcollections.com.
Reading your post it sounds like they are acting as debt collectors rather than Solicitors; maybe DRP actually wrote the letter using old letter headed paper.0
