    seeing as you asked

I dont give legal advice, just mentioning that this is a parking forum and your issue is no longer about parking

parking led to the court case, this is now about removal of a CCJ, totally different (the CCJ could have been an invoice from a windows company or a plumber)

my point as well is you are asking about other cases, use the search box and you will find other members who have had the same issues , see what they did about it (I have read over a dozen similar cases in the last 2 years)

its also a fact that on here and pepipoo and consumer advice group forums the advice online was to appeal, not ignore, which has been the case for over 2.5 years so the online advice at the time was to appeal, not ignore , as your case is less than 2.5 years old

Barry Beavis ignored as the advice at the time was ignore, much earlier than when your incident occurred as it was about February 2013

its your choice as an adult as to what you do about it, people here will reply if they have something useful to say, but if you want legal advice then try a legal forum like legal beagles or similar

if I have something that I think is relevant I will post it, same as others have done , that is the purpose of a forum, you can read the replies and decide what to take from them

if you have a beef with the landowner, then take it up with that landowner , seeing as you believe you had the right to park on their land, make them responsible and take them to task over it, they engaged the par@sites ;)

does that make it clearer ?

    Thanks again great reply
Just to pick up on the last bit you say 'take it up with the landowner they engaged the parasites' Okay it's clear the parasites are parking eye...is the landowner Grosvenor??? Let's say it is You say take them to task on it and make them responsible How does this apply in court with view to a set aside?? Do you mean emphasise that Grosvenor are not doing enough to make it clear with the signage and inside the casino that you have to put your registration into a machine??? Please can you embellish on this point as this seems crucial and interesting
    Thanks mate

From what I can infer -
1 Get the ccj set aside
2 take Grosvenor to Court for improper signage etc and also stress caused by ccj also costs incurred etc £200 plus £155 court fees
    Am I right????

Hold on, are you going to do this on your own? Are you willing to go head to head with Grosvenor's Q.C. in a court of law. Despite what you may think, you do not hold the high ground here.

If you are claiming suffering caused by stress, you will need to back it up, a witness statements from your doctor/counsellor/therapist/employer.

Here is a thought, why not seek advice from a reputable credit repair company, (if such exists). It may cost you thousands, but you appear to be a man who likes to take a gamble.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • You first need to decide whether to keep this simple anf merely try and get the CCJ removed or challenge the original claim .
I would suggest making toothless threats of legal action you have no intention of starting is pointless and counter-productive

The Deep- I was merely interested in what redx had suggested and he seemed to be hinting at laying the blame at Grosvenors door In what capacity I do this is the point I am trying to get at!

Salmosalaris- In all honesty my clear objective here is to set aside this CCJ and I intend to be successful hence the need for as much constructive opinion/advice as possible
    Thanks!
  • look at http://www.bmpa.eu/court.html and track it for a few days , you will see many set asides taking place , ironically most are regarding parking eye , probably because they pursue more people than anyone else

Cheers enfieldfreddy you have given me a fresh hope!!! Let's hope this can be put to bed as soon as possible.
  • I think you have your work cut out.

You need to convince a court that there is a good reason for a set aside AND that you have a reasonable chance of success at a future hearing.

Before they even consider your future chances you have to give a good reason for not defending the original case. The way you have posted here suggests to me that you just ignored everything because of what you read online.

As Abraham Lincoln once said: "Don't believe everything you read on the internet".

    Nodding donkey -
I need to convince the court there is reason for set aside---of which there are many.

Two- What do I need to do at a future hearing? There is no reason for Parkingeye to pursue as their 'debt' has been paid. Also, I was a legitimate customer of the Casino which I can proof

True don't believe everything you read on the Internet and that same statement still applies!!
