Sorry to take this slightly off topic, but to your knowledge, is it possible to get a quote from a price comparison site for any general insurance product without the site selling your contact information on?

I have always felt that a lot of the nuisance calls we receive stem from data sold by the price comparison sites as I have often found there is no way to opt out of their T&C which includes allowing them to flog your details it seems

It's the reason why I won't use them.
