Hopefully not with E&L or Animal Friends0 -

That's interesting!
Which company did you end up with?
I tried using a comparison site once but I was put off by the glut of unsolicited emails I got after it I had registered interest. It put me off quite a bit.
I don't want my phone/email address broadcast to all and sundry.
If you can give me the company I'll have a look for my dog and see how it comes out.
All Tesco have offered me is a £15 voucher for jacking my premium up. I've still got to spend it with them so its win win for Tesco again. No wonder they are foundering.0 -

untick all the boxes for email/phone /post etc0 -
I found sainsbugs good to deal with when I needed to claim for our dogs.
it's when your animals do have a longstanding illness that insurance proves valuable. we claimed the max 7.5k over several years for liver disease & then more again for a heart condition - at age 11/12 we were paying 40ish a month but claiming more than £150 a month.0 -
Moneysupermarket.com (other price comparison sites are available) returns 23 quotes for lifetime cover for a 7 year old border terrier. The cheapest is £11.24/month. The most expensive £54.19/month. The amount of cover ranges from £500/condition/year to £12000/year. If the insurers are running a cartel they don't seem to be doing a very good job of it.0

If not that then it is a form of legalised protection racket.
I have looked around for alternative quotes but they are all within a few pence of each other - it smacks of a cartel which I thought was illegal!they are all charging the same with very little difference in the policy conditions.
Its a cartel! The cheapest is £11.24/month. The most expensive £54.19/month.
I've been ripped off by this thread. Who do I complain to? How much compo will I get?0 -
I would say some quidco vouchers and a Karcher pressure washer would help you to overcome your plight0

Havent looked recently but historically comparison sites were making very little money from the Insurance side of their business, not surprising when they are having to pay Google upto £10 per visitor on PPC marketing and so customer data is a very valuable revenue stream that makes their service viable.
You can try and opt out of the marketing, use a junk mail only email address and give a wrong telephone number but correct with the broker/insurer just before finally buying to try and mitigate the junk mail/calls but they will look for any way they can to legitimate use it as to get their pennies to make the service worth running.0 -

and who paid for that? Those like the OP who pay their premium every year and don't claim.
Insurance is a business out to make a profit not subsidise pet owners.
Like all insurance It is a gamble you take to give you peace of mind.
if you think the cost is too high then don't pay it.
Beware cheap policies = search for reviews on the compnay as there are some who will take your money but avoid paying out at all costs.0 -
I have a BT who is now 16 months and the insurance jumped up a few £'s after the first 12 months. I moved to More than who offered a good price (on par with the previous company) However offered a higher levl of cover.
If your dog hasn't had any conditions then shop around.0
