Depends on the agency.
Equifax are sometimes able to provide instantly online, and I think callcredit do as well (if they are able to verify your identity).
I think experian always send out a verification code by post even if you choose the view online option.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
In addition to Tixy's reply above I can confirm Experian send out a letter (with a code) to view/download your credit file when choosing the online option. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0

If you go to the website of each agency you have the option to download the form for the £2 report. A postal order is acceptable for all three I did this and received a printed report in less than a week. If you have to wait for a code to access it online may be quicker for you to post request and get a printed report in about the same timescale as doing it online.0

If you choose to view your statutory credit report online with Experian, you will be issued a unique Passkey which will allow you to log in to a secure area of our site and view your report. The Passkey will be posted to you within 5 working days.
kgw1009, if you've not received your Passkey within 5 working days please get in contact with us as we would be able to assist you further.
