Surely all a W/s does is "stretch" the pic to fit, the feed from the Comp is not W/S or is it?:T

Nope, you need to look at the link provided in the posts above about the difference in display items between widescreen and normal.

I personally have a widescreen and would never go back to a 4.3.

You mean the biased link where a company is trying to flog stuff..

To each his / her own, standard screen for me, I don't want to pay more for less screen size. ( on a like for like basis ).;)

To be honest all the examples they have given for advantages are backed up with screenshots between widescreen and 4.3, they just haven't listed the disadvantages over 4.3.

But im sure the OP can do some searches in google of widescreen vs fullscreen advantages and disadvantages and make their mind up from reading unbiased reviews.

No but they have been highly selective in the screen shots that they have used.

I agree, the OP should do a Google to check out the differences, hopefully they will find some unbiased reviews.;)
  • I changed my old 17" monitor for a Viewsonic 19" wide screen which cost me £100. I wouldn't go back to full screen now widescreen is so much better.

I have just purchased an LG 22 inch wide screen monitor and it is absolutely superb, very clear graphics etc.
I would recommend this to anybody, cost was 220 pounds from Misco, also used quidco.:j
