  • Hiya all,
Another £10 off the old next acc so that is now £38 off my total, again big thanks, I really love this thread, it will help me to cut our debt into bite size chunks, and I think from a personal satisfaction point of view will make me feel like I have achieved more.

  • I know its sensible to pay everything as soon as I'm paid but I find it frustrating not being able to pay more here and there. I need to make more money.

Calling14. Love the Manics but never managed to catch them live. Perhaps when the debt is gone it can be my treat to myself.

    Is it payday yet?

    Hi all

    First payment for me
    #18 - £100 paid.
  • YESSSSSSSSSS!

Finally got paid £55 cashback that I've been chasing for absolutely ages and together with the regular £105 payment means that my overdraft target from Challenge 19 is now completely clear (just got to keep it that way lol!)

    So that's a whopping £160 for me !

Parsniphead - I know what you mean about chipping away at the debts but you will get there...it might take a while but with challenges like this you will begin to see a difference. Have you thought about mystery shopping to get a few more £££ in? The other approach I take with this challenge is linking it with my 20p challenge - I save 20ps and when I get to £10 I bag them up and then put them to the debt I'm paying off with this challenge.

As Amara said slowly but surely we will get those debts down
  • I have thought about mystery shopping in the past, butbtonbe honest im not a good shopper and get bored easily.

I currently only work three days and have started the process of restarting my self employed business again. I'm torn between just working from home or taking a studio at a local craft centre with the view to going full time self employed soon.

The courage I had years ago seems to have diminished since I got older but I will find it again.

Seriously its almost money for old rope

I've done mystery shops where all I've had do is buy some items and use the self service machines, place an on order that I've click and collected. 'Worse' ones are the ones where you have to visit several departments but even those don't take forever. You can also choose whether to do them so if you're busy you don't agree to do it and usually they're offered on a first come first basis.
