Does this have enough 'extra' height?

There are a few newer ones in your price range but they have at least double the mileage.0 -
Audi Q5 and Mazda CX5 sprang to mind too but they are a bit pricey for your budget0

Kia Sportage 2.0 diesel autoHappiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0

Thanks both for your ideas, have you owned any of them? Volvo a bit too big, Mazda CX5, my DD bought a new one less than a year ago and has had nothing but trouble with it, engine cutting out, electronics replaced twice, now back in garage for over six weeks!
The Suzuki is already on the list to try, did well in the camping and caravan club test.
Like the look of the Tiguan, what are they like?0 -

Surprised to hear about the CX5. I bought a 2 and a 6 estate new six years ago. The 2 has been fault free over 64000 miles and the 6 estate has had one repair in 104000 miles. I recommended Mazda because my and my father's experience of them has been outstanding reliability across 25 years, six different vehicles (including an RX-8) and about 275,000 miles.0 -
Yes, I thought they were good, DD bought it as her partners old Mazda 6 had 170k on it and still ran sweetly. I wonder if the new Mazdas are built by Mazda or one of the cheap multi vehicle factories in a third world country?0
