Tax-free savings: Nationwide not playing ball

Just called to register for low-income tax-free savings for the period from now up until April 2016, and they had no idea what I was talking about. Two managers consulted and still they were baffled. Anyone had any problems with this? Thanks.

Could be they are baffled because the system you are talking about only comes into force on 6th April 2016.
Until then you have to register with your bank / building society with a R85 form for every account you wish not to pay tax on.
This form is available from the government tax website as a PDF form you can print off.
Whilst you are there look at the rules which are coming in for the next year. It is all there.The more I live, the more I learn.
