Hi Guys..
There are a few threads from previous years with LOADS of clever ideas to make things; I've done 'Pint of Socks', Cup of Cappacino--both the edible & toiletries versions, survival kit for a 50th birthday....lots of very ingenious ways to make little things look a lot more 😉

I like the idea of making some sorta mug gift set with lovely yummy treats inside. I hate the shop ones where the mug/cup is so ugly or says Xmas all over it. I'm thinking of a vintage looking pretty mug/cup, one you would want to use all year, with lovely small choccy treats inside, all finished off with a cellophane wrap with a big Xmas bow, hmmmmmKindness costs nothing

I thought about doing a couple of filled mugs. Each year I do a small parcel for MIL, SIL and a dear friend fully of little goodies, ( do get them a bigger pressy as well). They say they enjoy the bag of goodies as they wonder what is in it, so need a few new ideas and I think the filled mugs maybe one of them.
I work for one of the main supermarkets and starting this week is the xmas stock being delivered. Usually starts with choccies and the likes, but its another sign xmas is not that far off.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -
DD1 makes jam/chutney/marmalade at this time of year and pots it up in little pots, buys nice coffee or tea bags and makes homemade biscuits at christmas, sometimes homemade truffles too and gives all her work friends a tiny hamper full of homemade gooddies, it's very well received and folks always say 'will you be doing that again this year it's so nice to have homemade things, we look forward to it each year'.0

Homemade is so much more interesting isn't it. I don't know about you lot but when I walk around the shops I always feel I see the same gifts year in year out, which makes it more challenging finding original gifts.
Another idea I've had for my son (who is a movie fanatic) is to make him a movie night hamper. I've ordered him a movie mug from ebay and I'm going to buy different types/flavours of pop corn and retro sweets small coca cola bottles, hot choc sachets, tickets to the cinema and a DVD. I think he will love it and could be a gift idea for anyone really:DKindness costs nothing
