How do you magically send your screen to the TV over the network?
I have a smart TV that connects to the WiFi and appears on the home network. There is a 'screen mirroring' app on the TV that I go to, and then click 'connect to device' from my laptop and select the TV. Not really magic, I suspect most modern TVs do it. Mine was bought fairly recently but wasn't a particularly expensive one.
Re VGA cables, I personally wouldn't bother unless you are only spending a very small amount to try. VGA cables can't send HD images, and if the TV you are sending it to is 32" or bigger it will probably be horribly low quality and worse than putting up with the 'small' but high quality laptop.0 -
