Passport Signature Query

The passport office should have noticed that your signature was not the same as your form - you can send it back with a new form and photo, explaining that the signature does not match and they will issue you with a new one. There is a small possibility that it could cause problems.0

Thankyou.
When I contacted the pasport office they said I could change it but obv will have to pay for a new passport, Im changing my passport after this holiday I just wanted to make sure I have no problems travelling this time it will be rectitfied for next time.0 -
As long as you can reproduce the same thing over and over, it doesn't matter what mark is in the box. There isn't even a requirement for it to be related to your name, so you're totally fine.0

You have already taken expert advice and have been told that you will not have a problem. If anyone on this board contradicts what Easyjet has said, that person is wrong.
And there is absolutely no need to get another passport after this holiday. Just remember always to use the same signature as that included in your passport.0 -
Worst case is that someone thinks its odd and delays you for a few minutes whilst they check it.
My wife's former non-british passport was hand written and had been extended a couple of times by having an extension hand written on blank pages with a new photo of her taped in. It got lots of funny looks, lots of times people went off to check it with a supervisor etc but it was all legit and just old fashioned so ultimately never had a problem.... though watching the immigration officer in Egypt trying to put it through the normal reader was amusing, tried the original page, both the extensions, the British PR page and eventually with a sign resigned herself to having to type in the details themselves.0 -
I feel less worried now thankyou to all who replied0

I hadn't thought about that until I read your post. If it's of any help to you - my signature in my passport and everywhere else for that matter is the first name I'm known by and not the first name or middle names on my passport. Ok it could be seen as a very shortened version of my first name but I've never had any problems.
I've travelled a fair bit over the past 10 years and never had anyone mention it.
To be honest my husbands signature is just a squiggle you'd wouldn't even be able to make out what it says. So I wouldn't worry about it.0
