Absolute rubbish. It's crystal clear they know exactly what they are doing. They are criminal scum - treat them as such.0 -
We have had many of these calls, and after a few minutes of questioning the ethnic caller, "James", and telling him I run on Mac, I was informed of the gem that Microsoft and Apple are the same company!! Can't understand when why he got offended when I told him I work for Apple IT department, and then told him not to be so f.....g ridiculous, you stupid man! He hung up on me as well - how rude! :rotfl:0

Depressing that these calls are still happening... they're obviously getting a decent hit-rate of people falling for it.0

Such as this one (although I'm still slightly skeptical about it).

They have been lead to believe that westerners are all loaded with cash and that we're all mean/horrible people, I mean seriously they think we all earn £3000+ a month.
For as annoying as they may be, don't have a go at them, when it's their employer at fault.
The authorities need to tackle the employers and the call centres they work in, often these call centres are those used by major UK firms, like mobile operators, etc. THAT is how they get your details..........
One minute you get called by a scammer, the next minute you call to pay your leccy bill on a totally legit number and you get through to the same person.
UTTER RUBBISH!
The vast majority of these scam calls eminate from countries where call centre work is almost wholly high class/high caste and employers tend to target at least graduate-level for recruitment.
So we are talking about the favoured children of the wealthy, exploiting some of the most vulnerable in our society. They know, the Indian local/regional governments who sell the skills of their area on a quality/wealth/education basis and the UK/EU telecom providers who further enable the scam by selling large blocks of overseas calltime at rates so cheap it makes it viable also have much to answer for!0
