I suspect you may have been declined as you are young and probably have no/little credit history

It will do everything a normal current account will do. Don't worry about it

How long have you been in the UK? (Your writing style suggests possibly English is a second language)

Only being in the UK for 2-3 months is obviously going to impact on what products you are offered.

It is written in a manner that shows it's not your first language, there's nothing wrong with it, per se, but it was apparent and it's what made me think that perhaps you weren't English and reasonably newly arrived in the country, which will undoubtedly affect the accounts you might be offered.

    His job is not important.

Accept the Cash Account. Then in 6 months they might give you a Classic Plus account and you can earn interest.

Oh really. Plenty of people new to the UK get offered Classic accounts but if you've been in the UK less than 3 years and have a certain type job then TSB will only offer you a Cash account.

Hi all, I have similar problem with TSB. The account is opened, i set Paypal direct debit to it and because of that Paypal transfered £0.01 with the verification code in the transaction reference.

Right after that I received letter that I need to bring ID to nearest TSB branch to verify my identity. I tried to send money to my TSB account, but transaction is refused, i think my account is in state known as "barred" or something.

I opened the account because of the switch incentive, but I am abroad for the next month, so cannot verify it instantly, do you think that I can start the switching process, even if my account is in the current state? Thank you in advance
