  • I have a stack of loyalty cards. The best value is for the coffee shop at the local gym that gives you one free coffee for every six bought. However, now you can spend Nectar points on Ebay, this has got a lot more useful.

I've got so many loyalty cards I never know where the find the one I want. :o I try to keep the ones I use most often in one place, but sometimes I shuffle them around to get everything I want into a small bag.

I was given two of those metal card carrying wallets to help me organise them, but they're a bit on the big side.

This is a mix of plastic 'chain' cards and cardboard coffee shop cards. I could probably get rid of most of them because there's a few I go to regularly, and a few I rarely use.

I have Boots, Nectar, Tesco (the wee one that hangs on my key ring) waitrose and Blackwells. I use them all when I shop but shop where I want. The card are just a bonus for buying something I'd buy anyway. The best for me are Boots - as an over 60 I get 10 points per pound on Boots own brand and I buy these anyway. I also like the free coffee in Waitrose after a hard day. It's very good coffee.
  • I have used tesco clubcard from the start, I still have an original tesco credit card that gives 1 point every £2 everywhere and so does my husband who is self employed so clocks up more spending. We both have topcashback and change up the maximum £50 each every year. We have just had a weeks greek holiday for 4 for £500 in vouchers plus £100. We have previously had 2 cruises, 2 European holiday park holidays, 3 euro tunnel fares, merlin annual passes, various days out and hotel breaks and use tesco boost. I also collect nectar, using them when there is a boost I collect in store and on ebay and finally i have a boots card which is used only occasionally.
  • I have a Tesco clubcard and the Boost system can give huge savings (spend wisely though ). Exchange upto £50 of Topcashback into Clubcard points each year, then save with their partners or half price on the Boost.

I was amazed how helpful Tesco was when my printer broke. I had no receipt and called their Tech team who found my purchase using my clubcard details (they took a couple of days).

It was just under a year old so still within guarantee. They gave me a code, told me to visit my local store & I exchanged the printer for a shiney new one.

People moan about company's knowing your details but it works both ways.
  • I didn't know that Lidl did a reward card?
  • I have a Tesco Clubcard. This doesn't collect many points as I only shop at the Express stores to buy things I'm in desperate need of. I got my new rewards letter recently and I didn't even have enough points for a voucher. Though its better than nothing.
I have a Nectar card which is probably my favourite. I use it every week when I fill up my car at a BP station, and I get points every time I buy something on ebay. This gives the best rewards for me.
I have my Superdrug Beauty Card that probably only gives me about £5 back each year, and you have to spend loads just to get that.
I have my VIP card for Pets At Home - they give to charity each time you swipe so this is worthwhile.
Lastly, I have my Costa card. This doesn't give me much back, as I only use Costa once every couple of months... but still a free coffee is a coffee and it makes me feel less guilty about buying coffee with my friends!

What's this Lidl card? - is it a Lidl staff discount card perhaps?
  • Hiya just so you know co-op were not paying any rewards due to the mess they were in which is why you haven't received anything in ages. I don't know when they were going to restart

Found the answer myself - there is a trial of a Lidl discount card in Scotland and an MSE thread where it's being discussed.
