The most useful ones would come from the stores your visit most - provided they have that option.

Frankly, I can't understand not having a 'card' if you go to a store frequently.

With Nectar points I try to save them up during the year via Homebase & Sainsbury to use for Xmas shopping.
Not using Tesco so much as previously - other stores sending conditional spend vouchers, and Tesco refused any responsibility for an 'fall' due to spillage - not happy!!
However, still getting 'points' from Shopper Surveys, mobile, and fuel. Though, won't use my last fuel save 2p off, as I have a Nectar coupon for 7p off!
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard
  • Nectar, Boots card, Waitrose card & Gail's Bakery loyalty card, all worth having.
  • Trying to use Avios points for flights or upgrades is next to impossible as BA will only redeem them if booked via BA.com even if wanting to fly with a partner airline such as American Airlines. Even though their own web site states that they can be used on partner airlines or if booked via a travel agent they will not honour them if not booked via their own web site. As all BA flights are London based and I use Manchester then they are next best thing to useless especially as BA charges more to book a flight on AA than it costs to book direct with AA . Bring back the BMI Diamond Club!!!!
  • B&Q, Tesco, Morrisons, Homebase, Gourmet Society, TasteCard, Boots, John Lewis, Nectar, Coop.

Most useful, Nectar and Boots as points build up unknowingly giving a little bonus when I go to shop for stuff.
Morrisons most often for shopping and petrol.

  • I use Tesco Clubcard, Sainsburys Nectar and Co-op membership; it's nice to use these in conjuction with my Santander 123 credit card (as long as settle it staright away) as then I'm getting points and cashback. However, I have to contact the Co-op as I've not been receiving my cashback for some time now whereas the rewards based cards present me with vouchers by post on a quarterly basis, good as gold. Every little helps.
  • On retirement I took a trip to Venice on the Orient Express. By using Nectar points I made a saving of around £800. Now I mostly use the Tesco Clubcard. Supermarket shopping plus occasional bonus offers such as buying wine online allows us to have quite regular 'free' train tickets to London and, next month, four of us are travelling first class from Peterborough to Edinburgh. Others might say these cards are a waste of time but my experience is completely different.

I have Tesco Clubcard, Nectar Card, Boots Advantage Card, The Co-Op Card, Superdrug Beauty Card, Iceland Bonus Card and a Morrisons Match & More Card. The most useful by far is my Tesco Clubcard. I use it for Clubcard Deals rather than just spend the Clubcard Vouchers on spending. That way I get at least twice the face value of the vouchers. I get my Friends and Family railcard with £15 of Clubcard Vouchers each year, which saves me £30 cash. I had to buy a new tumble dryer earlier this year and used my doubled up Clubcard Vouchers to take £97 off the purchase price of the £197 tumble dryer. In December I double up my vouchers to buy Christmas gifts.

Every little bit I get on my other loyalty cards makes a difference. I mostly shop on eBay and my Nectar Card is linked to my eBay account, so that is how I get most of my points on my Nectar Card. I buy items like my vitamins with my Advantage Card points, rather than using cards, so those points are always worth having.

My Iceland Bonus Card is the least rewarding. I am always getting money off vouchers for products I never buy and do not want to buy. The vouchers are few and far between as well.
  • My most used card is Tesco as that is the nearest supermarket. Usually save till they have a double up event. Recently got a king size duvet and super earphones ( so I don't have to listen or watch football) all for free :j Also they regularly send vouchers for a lot of items that I buy, so well worth having. Also have a Nectar, Morrisons, Boots and several coffee shop ones but they don't get used as much. Can't understand why some people haven't got one if they shop regularly at supermarkets.

We shop mostly at Tesco or Waitrose. At Tesco we use a clubcard but pay with a John Lewis credit card. That way we get John Lewis/Waitrose and Tesco points on the same shop.
