I have never heard anyone having their limit increased to almost 2.5 times the existing one. 50% or so more ls a pretty generous increase.Kavanne

My limit is 1200 and they wanted to increase up to 3500 but declined there very kind offer.0 -
Mine was increased from 3k to 6k in the same letter, the card is cleared asap if ever used (rarely) so I'm not sure if they are trying to get me to spend more but it is an emergency card only. But the extra 3k limit is very handy in case of emergency anyway.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Tesco CC must be pretty unique in offering those huge increases. Is this their normal modus operandi or did they conduct some "Sale of the Century" earlier this month?0 -
No idea, I've only had the card for about 6 months but like I say, it is used occasionally & paid off straight away. the 3k limit was fine for any emergency we might have but 6 is nice too!I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

One other thing i'd like to know is why since joining this forum i have been inundated with spam emails? this is the only site i hae provided me email address to and my spam emails must have risen by 1000%?0

I received the same letter notifying me of a pending increase, then today a later saying they're withdrawing the offer.
I didn't want or need the extra credit, but I find Tesco's flippant attitude to the matter frustrating making me think there's suddenly something amiss with my credit file, when in reality the issue lies with them.
I'll be transferring away my balance in the near future.0 -

Actually, I had a Tesco card with a £750.00 limit for 18 months and then they raised it to 5750.00 without me requesting it. So it does happen
