SNP’s going anti-business, so let’s woo companies away from Scotland

well see this is the thing, the SNP are only a part of the YES movement, strangely people seem to forget this... I do also believe a person can only take so much before they retaliate, so in many cases staying silent ceased to be an option after a while, not that I am defending them at all, or even trying to understand as a lot of it was hateful and I disagree with it, but I have seen it from both sides and been verbally attacked myself on more than one occasion, I did however come to accept the term of nazi Jacobite seperatist scum, and claimed it as my own0

Mm, yeah, Arguing about politics with anonymous strangers on the internet. What can go wrong?0 -
I know you wouldve thought people would understand that lol
mine wasnt online though... mine was to my face often followed by a slit of the throat sign or gun at the side of the head sign ... once it got so bad the police had to be called ... but hey were getting off the SNP Baaaaaadd thread here ... lets get back to those nasty cybernat SNPers .... they are awfy bad people after all0 -
SNP Baaaaaad
Is that the latest phrase to replace the 'too poor, too wee, too stupid' one or is it a new addition?
As someone who is hopelessly out of touch as I only get my news about Scotland from the Telegraph (apparently) I'd like to know if the two are being used concurrently or if one has replaced the other.0 -
och we just keep on adding ... the too poor too wee too stupid is only handy sometimes ... I spose it depends on what rubbish people are throwing at the time ...
were awfy clever that way and can think lots of different things ya know0 -
Anyway, this is all very nice but Scotland is ours by right of conquest. And thats an end to the matter.0

Therefore the belief that "SNP supporters don't like them" is quite simply a false statement and belief.
Maybe it should be on Myth busters
Good thing too, it would be pretty galling if you held a grudge against us when we pay for your larger, more generous state with our taxes. I don't suppose you would be running a budget deficit of more than 8% of GDP for very long if you had to finance it yourselves.I think....0 -
Re the OP from the Daily T: As it happened I bought that newspaper, or rather it was free with a bottle of water at Southampton airport, the first paper DT I've looked at for probably a year.
I thought the article itself was a bit flakey, suggesting that businesses were leaving Scotland at this very moment, and it was premature, but the fact that it was written is symptomatic of the mud that is being stirred up.
The facade of the SNP not hating the English was indeed promulgated by Salmond & co early on in the Indy Ref Conpaign in a transparently worded effort to pretend that Independence was not separation and that things would carry on as before when Scotland was United with England, Wales & NI. Things like, keep the BBC, the Queen, the Pound, the EU membership, the trade with the ROUK, not to mention UK pensions as before, a cut of the wealth of Museums in the UK, the possession of some of the military hardware and so on and so on ad naive museum.
All that "we really like the sassenachs", was clearly BS, just a means to pretend to kinship in the event of a "Yes" vote.
Of course all that was discarded during the Indy frenzie, and is only resurfacing now, as the SNP claim to scent blood.
While individuals may get on well with individuals, I just don't buy protestations by SNP adherents to the contrary. I don't believe them for one instant.
Should Scotland turn into Natland, I can see that the views expressed by that Telegraph article might well take hold in England, or at least actions with similar effects. By that I mean a ramp in English support for English-based companies which contribute to UK wealth rather than a foreign country that has just spat into our faces. It may not be a boycott, but it would have a similar effect.
I don't think we are there now, but as I said, that Daily T article is a symptom of what may happen as a result of the SNP Hate & Whinge Project.
One final point about the Neverendum that the SNP continually brandish. I would think that Cameron or his successor would deny permission for another Referendum for another generation, as committed before. So if Sturgeon were to hold one (whatever it might be called), it would have no legal status.
That would mean such an illegal referendum would not, presumably, inhbit the UK Government from campaigning actively against the SNP during the whole process about the positive aspects of the Union and the negative impacts on Scotland of a rogue independence.Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0 -
My husband married a woman from Plymouth ,( myself to be precise) I do happen to LOVE Salmond , not so much Sturgeon, hate flower for Scotland ( I walk out of places when they start singing it)
Geddon yer Janner!
Feel free to keep on voting for 'Yes', the independence dividend could do wonders for your old home city, the possible relocation of the UK's Submarine base would be lovely.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
Hey if Plymouth want it they can have it as far as im concerned0
