BT Promo Voucher Advice

Hello, I would like some advice please. I recently set up new a BT broadband, phone and TV package. BT were offering a £75 Sainsburys gift card for new customers which could be activated and despatched as soon as my new service was installed. I followed the instructions and received an email to say thanks, you'll receive the voucher within 30 days. Shortly after, I actually cancelled my BT contract due to inadequate service, this has been completed and I am no longer a BT customer. The voucher however was delivered soon after. Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing, is it safe to spend or will I be hunted down? Appreciate any comment. Thanks very much.
