Was amazed it took so little time, must be a new record surely?

You should tell the papers. It'll make headlines.0

Last year, cancellation f tv, via phone, didn't take me long, but haggling for a phone/broadband a nd eventually tv, did take some time (3 calls).0

Took 45mins for me. I was told I could only cancel TV if I wanted to keep my phone number. Had to be done as a takeover by new supplier (virgin).
No offers in my offers page at all. Been with them 22 years.0 -
I'm approaching the end of my deal - about 2 months left. I'm getting bombarded with offers by email -two this morning -one is for half price multiroom with free SkyHD box (not recordable) and free install, the second one is for 10% off for 10 months on a 12 month contract :rotfl::rotfl:
I'll be cancelling again come 26th September:T0 -

Yup.....with TV it can be switched back on again almost instantly after agreeing a new deal -much trickier with phone/b/band as if the cancellation actually goes thru you lose the connection, may lose your number and it may take a new supplier weeks to get you back online:(
The general advice is to cancel the TV, wait til you get an offer on the TV service -then negotiate on the whole package including line rental, bband AND TV!:T
My S-I-L recently played hardball over his TV services; he has ended up with a mega deal for almost everything bar HD:)0 -
I'm impressed. It took us 2 weeks, numerous phone calls and complaints to cancel and they would only offer us 40% for 10 months, even signed us up to it after we said no and eventually managed to cancel. Would never go back to sky now0

So, you phone sky and insist a cancellation. Then, just keep checking online for an offer?
How long do you normally have to go without access to your tv channels?0
